Distant memory now, but check the definition of the FTP service in the
TCPIP> utility. It may have a log file define here.

The "log client activity" , if I remember correctly, logs actual
transfers into a central file.

the SYS$LOGIN:*.log files are created in the same way a NETSERVER.LOG is
created when the FTP network process is created for that user.
