Only half wrong. VMS engineering may not have shut down, but it is
effectively in "maintenance mode" only with very few improvements still
planned. I think the major one is support for new disk system.

And moore importantly, its upcoming shutdown has been confirmed by HP.

When VMS engineering was made redundant and replaced by a new group in
India, HP refused to provide any information on the size of that new
group (and of course no information on how many had any experience with
VMS).
