Quite possibly. Look at the nice patterns these squiggly things make :-)
I do recall brace and tilde getting Mentioned In Despatches, probably in
RT-11 or related release notes, and did wonder at the time what the fuss
was all about. Little did I realise I'd end up using both on a frequent
basis.
