[Info-vax] new life at comp.misc

A bit off topic, but maybe of interest to comp.os.vms.  If you were in
the habit of reading www.slashdot.org you might be aware Dice has rolled
out the beta version of a new interface that users generally hate.
There's been a bit of an exodus: one group has just rolled out a
community-run alternative, www.soylentnews.org, and www.technocrat.net 
was restarted this week by Bruce Perens.

Meanwhile, a bunch of us decided Usenet was the best possible
alternative and we've congregated over at comp.misc.  This is a friendly
invitation to come join the conversation.  There are a lot of dead
newsgroups out there and until recently comp.misc was one of them.  But
as of last week, it's a pretty cool place to hang out with other
techies.
