What in the above states (or even implies) that going to a *BSD is
some automatic bad thing ?
The subtext behind David's comment is that if they abandon Linux some
will turn to other options such as VMS. The problem with that position
is that Linux isn't the only Unix style system out there and besides
VMS doesn't offer the kinds of things a typical Linux user would be
used to.
