I think you find I am at the bottom of the list of people in this
newsgroup who would do that. :-)
Seriously however, I'm pleased you found the same responses I did. It's
interesting how people all suddenly say the same thing. It's like FreeBSD
as a backup option for Linux has been in everyone's mind all along and
now it's suddenly come to the fore and is being talked about as a
serious option.
With some bad decisions which have been made up until now (ie: Gnome 3)
it's been easy to ignore them because other options are available. With
some other bad decisions (Firefox UI changes) extensions have been
available to restore the previous good behaviour.
However systemd is the first bad decision to be embedded at such a
low level that it's not possible to work around it.
