Classic and fussy cross-compilation mostly command-line stuff from the
bad old days? Sure. I'd agree. No way. But if I had something of
the caliber of and the performance and features of Apple Xcode running
cross-platform akin to its iOS support, with VMS as the target?
There'd be little point to logging into the VMS servers for development
purposes, save for performing tasks such as target testing as the
end-users might experience — though if the application displays are
capable of being displayed remotely, even that requirement is reduced —
or maintenance or related tasks.
