There is no button or dial available, as far as I recall, to change the case of the file name to what it actually is.  Lowercase is always used.  This translator was written well before OpenVMS had anything but uppercase file names.  It was not designed to be customized, although I had requests over the years to add a way to change certain features of the translator.

The solution would be a fairly easy code change to allow a logical name to control the casing (upper, lower or as-is) for the file name.
