Same answer as JF gets every time he raises the "Rdb?" question...
If you need a specific statement, consider contacting the vendor
directly. If past practices are any guidance, that direct vendor
contact will be how some of the vendors judge interest when pondering
whether to invest in the port, too.
Until VMS x64 is rather closer to release (~2018?), there's not a good
basis nor a particular urgency for many of the third-party vendors to
make commitments.
Until there is some sort of beta version available (e.g. what V8.0 and
V8.1 were), there's nothing for anyone to look at or work on, and no
details and no (public) understanding of what code changes are needed,
for that matter.
Entirely hypothetical example: committing to port your large
application to VMS x64 might be problematic if you have a Java
dependency, and if (hypothetically!) there's no Java or if Java is
going to be a late arrival, or you need to test your application with
OpenJDK, or if you're handed Java 8 with the port and not the same
version of Java that you were expecting, for instance.
We don't yet know what the VMS x64 product is officially named, for
that matter.
The VSI folks also want and need a revenue stream, which means that
they're going to want and need Poulson and (if and when it arrives)
Kittson support available ahead of any x86-64 port.
The next crop of public statements from HP, VSI and VMS-related vendors
will likely be at the boot camp next week, and more than a few of us
will be interested in what's announced there, and what's not announced.
But for questions related to VMS x64 support, contact the vendor and
ask them. Most will probably not provide a commitment. (Yet?)
