Where have you been?  That's HUGELY efficient these days.  :-)

Seriously, I recently produced 61 pages from LaTeX with included
28 PostScript figures, high-resolution (almost "retina") greyscale 
plots.  This was only about 8 MB.  The PDF, produced by GhostScript, is 
just about half a MB---for 61 pages.

What is even worse is someone writing an email in plain text, then 
converting it to a huge PDF file and emailing that.

When iPhones are available with 128 GB, people lose all sense of 
proportion.  :-)
