OpenVMS will be the primary back end server platform hosting most,
If not all, the back end mission critical server requirements.
Others can argue all they want, but imho, the key to establishing a
stable environment is a proprietary, very secure, very stable and very
scalable OS platform that is architected ground up, built and deployed
using many of the past best IT practices from mission critical enterprise
environments.
This is absolutely critical to the overall future success of what we are
proposing.
Yes, OpenVMS needs enhancements in some areas, but I am confident
that with VSI, these will be addressed as part of future roadmaps.

This is not a short term project. It will take time, but the plans are that
it will enable a next generation gaming platform that will support future
gaming environments for many years to come.
