And this sadly, is our issue too

According to recent feedback by Charon product sellers, our ES80 cannot be emulated on Charon because the HP Intel box will simply not keep up to match the ES80's performance

On top of this, we are hitting maximum cpu on the ES80 and need to purchase another 2P drawer and extra ram but we have hit a snag. 

Let's just say feedback is that a certain company who could supply this type of hardware and support it are saying they will not, unofficially of course. Read that which-ever way you want about them cutting ties with anything lower than Itanium. I thought the ES80's and GS1280's were some of the last Alphas made?

I fully understand that it was the businesses fault for letting themselves get into this predicament and had they had access to the source code I dare say we would have been running on Itanium by now, but we don't and I am betting our predicament is shared by a lot of organisations out there

How do you get back into an organisation once ousted from it?

Shame the whole OpenVMS X86-64 process wasn't started 2 years ago, VMS might have had a chance where I am
