This is very tangential. But since Blade Runner sortof have a special 
spot here too...
I also wondered what Neil meant, as Dicks book is the original book, and 
it is a book. However, in addition to the different title, it is pretty 
much also a different story. So I was wondering if Neil was referring to 
that. But then again, I think I remember that someone published a book 
based on the actual movie story as well.
And Dick said that the movie complemented the book, so he was obviously 
happy with it. Sadly he died before the film premiered. But he was also 
very happy with the visuals when shown a prescreening of some scenes.
