If you want a variation on the theme, see Ex Machina.  It's the Blade
Runner issue from another point of view, but looking much deeper into
the situation as it might start unfolding.  Intellectually satisfying,
but oh, so subversive.  Nightmares are made of this (apologies to
Annie Lennox, a bit of an android image in her own right).
