A records don't point to any PTR Record.  They are totally different
entities.  An A record returns an IP Address for a given hostname.
A PTR Record returns a name for a given IP Address.  They are not
in any way tied to each other, thus the whole problem here.

In which case, as has been said repeatedly, my email server and many others
are not going to accept email from a machine that may be trying to spoof
some other machine.  And that is not just for anti-SPAM as there are a lot
of more serious reasons for trying to spoof who you are.

Mail domains have nothing to do with the name or address of the MTA.  Not
sure what you even mean by "multi-homed email server" as there is nothing
about email that would require multi-homing.  Unless, as usual, you are
misusing terms because you really don't know what you are talking about.
