It depends on the needs of the installed base. Hard to outsource to a
distant data centre  a VMS host that drives machinery with
analogue/digital interfaces etc.


Also poses challenges when you want to provide remote data centre to a
company that has high security/privacy requirements and not too keen on
having someone else manage their systems.

It depends on what is left of the VMS installed base and what they are
intending to do. This is where Sue kicks in, knowing who the customers
want and buying them expensive lunches and trips to Disney/Caribeean or
lunch in Paris to find out what the VMS customer bases is thinking,
desiring for VMS. :-)
