MONO may not be a bad idea in principle, but before embarking too
far down that particular road, potential supporters might want to
see how well MONO has worked for others (e.g. Novell/Linux).
Obviously there are potentially differences (technical and
political...) when considering.
And as well as "is it a good idea", there's also a question of how's
it going to be licenced (already known for Mono) and how's it going
to be shipped (part of OS - probably not here, alongside OS e.g. on
separately installable DVD/USBstick/download, or shipped entirely
independently of the OS).
