Why can't they survive against Intel? AMD is ahead of Intel in technology
across the board and deliver better value. They have financial issues,
perhaps with their management, and that should be able to be overcome.

It's unusual but not unheard of for code not to run on both companies'
chips. Certainly it is easy enough to avoid incompatabilities.
