And how often are we going to continue to hear about things like this?
Wasn't the same really true of the Alpha vs Itanium?

And not just in the computer industry.  Anyone here ever see a
V8 MGB?  Yes, they made one.  And unlike the MGC which had a
castiron straight-six that was so heavy it caused serious steering
problems the V8 MGB had an aluminum block V8 that weighted less
than the castiron 4 cylinder engine.  BLM refused to ship them to
the US because of fear they would eat in to Jaguar sales as it was
considerably cheaper and a much better performing sports car.

Tech seldom if ever trumps marketing.
