Of course, the best way to determine that all of the source code was 
provided by HP was to build the sources and to then run whatever 
regression tests were available.  With all that, VSI could be assured 
that they could then rebuild and update and support the products.

If the LMF license checks changed as most or all of those checks 
apparently did change to reflect the change in LMF producer from HP to 
VSI — which has been a very key part of the discussion here — then 
there were inherently changes to the source code, and inherently new 
builds, and inherently new kits.
