Pure Evil :-)  This is Microsoft's content type for any/all its
proprietary file formats :-(

If you don't have backup/repair, just create a new disk saveset with a
bunch of file in it. Do a DIR/FULL on the .SAV file and apply those
settings to the octet-stream file.

Chances are the backup saveset was created with the same attributes.
