What that means is more than a little unclear judging from the universal
response.

There is a big difference in management reporting and financial reporting.
The former can be approximate while the latter cannot. Without context, and
in general, it's inappropriate to use floating point for money calculations.
If you rounded things to thousands for management reports then that
explains 40 years of success. Otherwise you might have been getting out
right about now ;-)
