The worse part was on the Stuart. You stop at a roadhouse and order a
"Burger with the lot" and when served, you realise it smells like that
dead cow that was cooking under hot australia sun on side of road :-(

Seriously, I saw fibre trunk repeater stations. Less visible on west
coast because of more frequent towns.  But on southern part of Stuart
highway, the pinkish bunkers are quite visible due to large solar array
to power it.

I fact, I did source water from a handful of windmills. They only dig
wells if they get non-salty drinkable water for their cows. Not so
obvious however is how to get the water directly from windmill instead
of from the reservoir that collects the water.
