IIRC, some free space was required as a prerequisite for deleting 
existing files on Spiralog, as you had to rewrite the deleted 
directories without the entry for the file(s) being removed.  So you 
could perversely have a case where you had to add storage in order to 
free some storage.  But it's been a while since I've looked at Spiralog.

Hopefully VSI is aimed at something equal to and preferably variously 
better than ZFS, with native UTF-8, and not just a compatible 
descendent of ODS-5 here.  But then VSI has a very full project list, 
too.

Next bootcamp is going to be more interesting than 2014.  Might even 
sell out.  Hopefully VSI has a VMS release and rather more presentation 
content available by them, too.
