I wish I could run the line transatlantic from you to here.
Verizon Fios works nicely most of the time but I'm not thrilled with the
cost.

However, I remember when I called Comcast to tell them their County-wide
head end internet stuff in Eatontown NJ was down.  Their tech in Michegan
said the guy in Eatontown would fix it when he/she came in the next 
morning at 9:30 AM.

(This in the early days of Comcast at Home).

This happened twice.  I was on 24x7 call for an Internet Email/Voicemail
outfit so I had to drive to the office or Newark Colocation facility
if anything alerted and needed fixing.

Not too impressed with Comcast, so as soon as Verizon dug up the street
I signed up.  Verizon looks like a charm compared with Comcast.
