One such company with which I am familiar leased (Tops-10) time from a school
district in Albuquerque in 1975, then later from a commercial firm in the same
city.  Only after the company grew and moved its headquarters to a Seattle
suburb did they purchase their own computer system, a DECSYSTEM-2020 (TOPS-20).
