I've been using that SQLite port for a prototype project, and it works 
as expected.  Haven't started tossing any volume of queries at it, nor 
looked at updating it.  But it works.

Was thinking of posting some example code, but have been tied up with 
other and unrelated work and haven't had a chance to clean up the 
SQLite-related code for posting.
