Actually, there is an SQL Syntax Checker and an SQL Precompiler included
in the book lex&yacc from O'Reilly and a recent query to one of the authors
expressed that he was no problem with using it as the basis for an Open
Source finished product as long as credit was given. SQLite seems a good
target because it really is a rather small subset of SQL.

Well, I will probably take a shot at it anyway as I only do this for fun
and really wouldn't care if no one used it. Sadly, everything is not
moved tot he new house yet and when I went by the old house yesterday I
failed to grab the Alpha or any of the VAXStations. So I guess i won't
be starting this weekend. At least not on the VMS version. :-)
Hmmm.... Hey Dave, what about an SQLite Pre-compiler for VMS BASIC? :-)
