This could well be excellent news.

I too thought I'd looked at the VSI site since Feb 2nd and don't
remember seeing this announced. But maybe I'm misremembering.

The course schedule looks to cover the kind of material people used to
expect historically. Whether it's what they expect today, at the price
they expect today, we'll see.

One thing I don't yet see is something that could appeal to those VMS
sites that *had* basically abandoned VMS but are hopefully now renewed
prospects for VMS. Basically, something to bring people up to date with
what's happened to VMS in the last few years?

A few hours of highlights of new and improved features used to be the
kind of thing presented at HPUG or by resellers or whatever.

Beyond that, a bit more in depth on particular aspects, maybe a day
or two on a paid for training basis, targeted separately at admins,
programmers, security types, whatever.

Heck, if software sales and training sales are now back in the same
company's books (which for a long time wasn't the case), maybe the
concept of "training credits" with serious software sales could make
a comeback.

And given the way the world has changed in recent years, howsabout
something along the lines of "open source software in the world of
VMS and VSI", if such doesn't already exist somewhere?

Happy days are here again?

Have a lot of fun!
