FWIW, They can no longer put baffles in many tanks. Liquid food haulers cannot have them for sanitation violations. Some industrial chemicals and forms of liquid fuel have to be hauled in "smooth bore" tanks as well. Something about vapor-trapping-compression-kaboom. They have to be hauled in smooth bore tanks with a vented filler lid.

Been a while since I had to take the written tanker and hazmat tests though.
