That may be true, but then, what interests you is probably not on their
minds.  They do make products that they wish to sell and like it or not
Twitter, Facebook and probably LinkedIn are now major advertising media
and smart business are taking advantage of it.  Look at the comment made
by someone here who was speaking against it: "Twitter, which in the right
wrong circumstances can go further faster than most web sites can ever
hope for."  Think about it....
