For Twitter, the only "noise" you get is from those people you have
chosen to follow.

So, if you only follow Sue, you would get this:

YOu can follow other people too if you want. With the twitter app
(sorry, no VMS version), you get traffic from anyone you follow. You
don't see traffic from people you don't follow, unless someone you
follow retweets something they found elsewhere.

There are serious people on twitter, and not-serious people. Whom you
follow dictates the value of twitter to you.
