I realize this might be unclear to some. One always boots from a single
disk. If this disk was part of a shadow set at shutdown (and the system
parameters weren't changed in this respect), then at boot the system
will find the other member(s) or time out if they aren't visible quickly
enough (and continue without them). Thus, no need to add members in a
startup procedure. One always boots from a single disk, but can specify
more than one in BOOTDEF_DEV. This has nothing to do with shadowing per
se, but one could specify more than one member so if one is not
available, it would try the next one.
