Well, not exactly...  - from Eric's post-

orders of magnitude more time to send a single UDP packet than it did on 
something like Linux.  My memory is fuzzy, but I recall the Linux box being 
able to blast out nearly a million UDP packets in a second, but the VMS box

Since Eric did not have access to a real VMS box, if Eric or someone has a 
test reproducer, and they can fwd it to me, I will try this on my DS10/ 
rx2600's and repost the results.

I am more than willing to be corrected if in fact the difference is as big as
