I don't know about the Itanium stuff, but for ALPHA, one can download an
.ISO file. As I understand it, this is a bit-for-bit copy of a bootable
disk. I then used COPY to a hard disk with MOUNT/FOREIGN:
$ COPY/LOG XXX.ISO DKB200:
and booted from that. No burning, no LD.
