Ah, now I understand what went wrong with the clone! I never had to boot from the DVD drive so added an entry for it on the console. I didn't realize that the itanium stores unique disk id's. I found the boot options command procedure but ignored it. Like configuring a cluster, who needs a com file... Thanks Volker and Hoff for the explanations! Hans
