Curly (Micheal Capellas)  was the accountant at Compaq. When the board
fired the CEO Pfeiffer (who had orchestrated the buying of Digital) Thei
made the accountant interim CEO while the board looked for a permanent one.

When the board failed to find someone willing to take the job, they
upgraded the accountant from interim CEO to CEO. And some of his first
tasks was to call M&A bankers to find a buyer for Compaq.

LaCarly was receptive to Curly's offers to buy Compaq and they started
to show each others assets to plan their wedding.
