You state that your DS10L is dying.  Can you be more specific?  Perhaps a few replacement parts will resolve your problem and prevent the expenditure of $$ for an emulator.  The most common failure, for me, has been the fan.  I have replacement fans that have worked just fine and they were relatively cheap too.  I have also had to replace one power supply.  So far, the 5 units I have have been very reliable.  I suspect the fans are the most likely to fail in the future and yes, I have more spares...
