I'm not surprised. I'm not sure what is in the water in Scandinavia (the people who brought us: Linux, MySQL, and MariaDB) but I know there are a lot of OpenVMS systems running there. The same is true for continental Europe.
Back in the day (mid-1980s to early-1990s) I was fortunate enough to have a lot of hardware and software training at DEC in Massachusetts and remember seeing attendees from Norway, Sweden, and Finland. There where also attendees from China.
