Apparently the lines in the file are too long. Whether a SET FILE can
fix this depends on the problem, the format of the file, and what VMS
thinks the format of the file is.
Get the file onto a Windows PC. Open a DOS box. Type "edit
<filename>". Save the file under a different name.
Sometimes, files which have too long lines on VMS, usually due to
transfer from other systems, can be fixed by this. Note: in the DOS
editor, the lines should look short enough as soon as you see it in the
window. If this is the case for you, then try the version of the file
saved from the editor.
