The issue is that the HP SSL 1.4 kit is missing the i2a_ASN_transfer 
vector, and the replacement code from OpenSSL needs a special OpenSSL 
copyright notice on it.

It looks like the cURL maintainers will not accept the replacement code 
into their repository so at this point the official Curl source will not 
build on OpenVMS unless you disable or otherwise update the OpenSSL code 
separately.

I am probably not going to attempt to build another cURL kit until an 
OpenSSL 1.x kit is available for VMS.

Does anyone know if the HP port of OpenSSL 1.0.x has exact case transfer 
vectors?
