I was just pointing out that the "obvious fix" to simply go to the existing options file and change things like:

symbol_vector=(FOO=PROCEDURE, BAR=PROCEDURE)

to

case_sensitive=yes
symbol_vector(foo/FOO=PROCEDURE, bar/BAR=PROCEDURE)

will force you to change the major ID and have everybody relink.
