Paul:

I would refer you initially to the VMS-Ports SourceForge Project. There is
a list as well as link there to other locations:

	https://sourceforge.net/p/vms-ports/wiki/Home/

Navigate down to:

	https://sourceforge.net/p/vms-ports/wiki/AlphabeticalPackageList/

And there is a nice list and links...

You can also go to:

	http://www8.hp.com/us/en/products/servers/openvms/licensing.html

Where HPE has placed their library of freeware...

Feel free to ask questions!!!

Best,
Bill.

Subject: [Info-vax] Where to locate software

I'm running OpenVMS 8.4 on FreeAXP and am a comparative newbie. So, a noob
question: I am planning to install some of the HP Open-source software and
Freeware.

For those applications which don't automatically install where should I
locate them such that I can run them from any directory?

Thanks

Paul
