   I'd suggest doing something/anything else to transfer
files.  If you can't do something networky, then you might
have better luck putting a zip archive onto a CD-R, and
unpacking it on the destination system.  You'll need an
appropriate UnZip executable on the destination system, but
they're easy to find, and the OS should tolerate goofy
attributes on a .EXE better than it does on a .COM.

   You might try an exotic MOUNT option (/UNDEFINED_FAT) to
help to deal with this "Undefined" mess, but avoiding the
mess is probably easier/wiser.
