It's not NEED so much as WANT. I want a DVD drive so I don't have any more
problems. Got more DVDs with layered products. And, a DVD drive should still
read CDs.
Now the question is which commodity DVD drives will work with VMS. I'm guessing
there is still the 512 byte sector issues. Anybody got any suggestions?
