That’s interesting. I looked at some Multics docs in one of my previous forays into the treasure trove that is Bitsavers. One feature I thought was clever about its ACL system is that there was no concept of file/directory ownership per se--multiple entities could all be granted the effect of ownership rights to the same item.

This is something that cannot be done on Linux, for example.
