Where is Windows Phone? Microsoft bought over Nokia’s entire mobile-phone business, and has run it into the ground. Windows RT? An embarrassing flop right from the get-go.

They have just announced effective abandonment of further development of their Atom line. You know, the ones that were supposed to compete with ARM? That were announced with great fanfare back in 2008 as being “two years ahead of ARM” and supporting the “full Internet experience” (which was code for “runs Adobe Flash Player”--which in the end nobody in that space cared about)? But it seems they only ever lost money.
One casualty of that is Microsoft’s “Surface” tablet line. Which now looks like it has reached its end. Not that it was ever particularly brilliant...
