Is the Itanium system up to date with all ECOs?

An Itanium system disk uses an EFI boot system, which is different from
Alpha.

Boot your Alpha from CD, and try using the writeboot utility on the disk
you restored on the Itanium to write an Alpha bootblock on it.

I am not sure about the files-11 homeblock issue. From the CD, try
ANALYZE/DISK/REPAIR on the restored disk if that is still a problem
after writing the Alpha boot block.
