I don't think everybody want to play nice, but the the enemies are
changing over time.

Linux is not a major enemy for MS any longer.

Now a day MS is more worried about Amazon AWS and
the Google and Facebook web dominance.

A .NET Core port to VMS would certainly be interesting.

Not sure about how realistic it is. The business case may
be tricky.

Practically no changes in that area.

Yes - there has been some concerns about Java EE version 8
becoming delayed.

But companies do not drop Java because they think the
release of Java EE 8 is slipping too much.

Google certainly does not love Oracle after a few meetups
in court.

But replacing Java would be a huge task and cost a fortune.
