Calling a department "Human Resources" isn't great but that isn't
what I'm objecting to here.
It's when people start saying "Tom has 5 resources working for him"
in everyday conversion instead of saying "Tom has 5 people working
for him", or in your case how you said you talked to a support
resource instead of a support person which is really dehumanising
regardless of whether you realise it or not.

No, it's not.
You might want to do a few searches around dehumanising the workplace;
it's a really big issue in some quarters.
I'm a bit disappointed that you don't see this Kerry.
